Over at TechCrunch, there's a
post about a new startup,
Pairwise. It's premise is to rework the personality tests with pictures instead of questions. Funded by
Y Combinator, it's actually surprisingly accurate. Some of the pictures however, are a bit disturbing - they seem to have a fetish for women and animals doing in confronting poses and situations. Take the test
here (near the bottom of the article) and you'll know what I mean. This test gauges your personality, then lets you see how it compares to startup founders participating in Y Combinator.
Here are my
results. I don't particularly agree with having a strong political interest, or not being very emotional, but the other pointers are pretty spot on.

There's another one called
VisualDNA. This one's a bit more appropriate, quicker to complete, and I like the way its analysed and presented. It's a general one though.
My results are
here - in short, I'm a easy rider, conqueror, high time roller, and I've got the love bug. I reckon I'm more a dreamer, escape artist, high time roller, and a home soul. One's probably what I am now, the other is what I want to be...
What's yours? Reckon there's a future for these kind of tests, beyond the fun realm?
UPDATE: I republished this blog post after I realised there was a typo in the title. Whoops.
UPDATE #2: It seems I intrepreted my results wrongly. Apparently according to Pairwise, I'm stupid, scared, soft, weak, planned, feminine, not interested in tech, and don't enjoy humour, nor do I have one either. Well, guess that's just negative encouragement out there so I can prove them wrong

(stupid site,

). Thanks Jeff for pointing that out - you seem to match it all pretty well, maybe that's a sign...
